Hello Everyone

Hi all - I just spent the last hour or so lurking around the forums, looks like a great community!

Anyways, just this past summer I recently got back into bike riding, I've been going for 1-2 hour rides almost 3-4 times a week for the duration of the summer. I must say that I am quite impressed with the results!

Currently I am 21 years old, and weigh 215 at 5'11". While in high school, I was in great shape, but these last 2 years, I've really let myself get lazy.

I am looking to gain some muscle mass, strengthen my core and of course burn some fat. I have a weight bench, free weights, curl bar and a Weider 8515 machine all in my house, but I haven't even touched my weights in over a year.

I'd also like to buy a machine for home to get my cardio in on. Winter is right around the corner, and I still want to be able to stay active. Obviously I am thinking about buying a stationary bike, but am open to suggestions on the matter. Anyone have any suggestions on equipment here? I'd like to keep it under $400 for the time being, as I still live with my parents and am trying to save up money...

I'll post other threads in the appropriate forums, I look forward to talking with you guys!

I am similar in size (a pinch taller and a pinch lighter) but am an avid cyclist myself. Sounds like you are putting in up to 80 miles / week, right? How fast are you going?

As for winter cardio work, I'd suggest putting your road bike on a trainer. You can get a decent trainer for less than $200 or, if you are more game, you can go with rollers.
