Hello everyone! Another person hoping to lose weight here. I'm currently about 256 pounds, hoping to get to 140 within the next year ( I'm a 5'5", 20 year old young woman, not sure if thats a healthy weight or not. ). I'm checking the internet for tips and such, and also here, hoping for some motivation and support as my mother doesn't ever seem to support me. Sadly, All I have is a stepper and some dumbbells, but hey, I'm sure a lot can be done with that! I'm hoping to lose 40 pounds by January-March considering I'm expecting a very important visit around that time!

I'm hoping to maybe make a friend or two, and have lost of support :) I'd appreciate it!



( If I may ask does anyone have some exercising tips and food tips to help me lose weight? I really want to stick to this~! )
 
Hiya, welcome to the forum!! A few handy tools-


I like logging all my food on fitday- you can use this for free on fitday.com. There's heaps of similar pages, myfitnesspal, dailyplate etc... I like to aim for a certain calorie deficit each week. It's handy- put in your height, age, weight, daily activity etc... and it will tell you how much you can eat daily to reach your goal.


Also I suggest starting a weight loss diary if you haven't already, it's so good to post your daily activity and get constant feedback from people. Also keeps you honest if nothing else!!


As for exercise, what kind of dumbbells do you have? There is PLENTY you can do at home even just with your body weight.
