Hi, my name is Kevin, I would like to say hi to everyone here in the forums.
Now, time to introduce myself and why i'm here. I'm 16 years old, i'm in high school currently in Junior year. I'm about 215 lbs right now, my weight before was around 245 or 250. My favorite activity is to play basketball, I hate running, becuase i never get the motivation to run. Last time I ran was in P.E in school and it was only 5 laps around the basketball court. My target weight is 185 lbs the most and 170 lbs the least with a little muscles. Well that sums it up, but if anyone wants to ask some questions, i'm more than happy to answer it :). And oh, more about my background, I'm asian so I eat rice from breakfast to dinner. I don't eat lunch at school, but I do eat some granola bars. My parents won't let me skip eating rice, but is there anyway to lose weight and still eat rice?

rice isn't' bad for you - it's total calories that contribute to weight loss -not where they're coming from...

granola bars are probably not your best choice for lunch - most og them are packed with sugar and really not much good nutrition - you're better off with fruit and veggies or something along that lines...

Welcome to the site -do spend some time reading the stickied threads in the forum..

If you are not currently eating lunch, then by all means do. It's one of the difficult things to put more eating time when you are used to not having it, while trying to lose weight.. but it is important to keep frequent/balanced meals throughout the day. If you have to eat granola bars, then go to the grocery store next time there is a shopping day and look at the labels. Try to find one with lower sugars that has some good stuff for you packed in there.. but in all honesty you would be better off switching to something more balanced and more variety.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your goals!
