I am a newcomer and has just joined the forum. I am struggling for weight lost since a couple of months. I have three kids and i got the unwanted pounds during my third pregnancy .... I used to weigh 130 lbs before i got pregnant with my third child and now i am stuck at 160 lbs. My target weight lost is around 30 lbs but it seems like almost impossible for me to even lose a single pound . I am working out four times a week , slightly changed my diet too. Sometimes the scale shows a reduction in 5 lbs which then soon replaced by my previous weight .. I am desparate to lose weight .Can someone give me advice what should i do to get rid of the excess fat??

I am a recovering yo yo dieter.

Since joining this forum, I have lost @15lbs. What is working for me is staying within a calorice range (for me its 1300-1400 calories), exercising 3-6 days a week for 30+min each sessions, and drinking water.

It feels and is different this time for 2 reasons:
1. I am not on a "diet". I am eating healthy foods, with occasional treats, and not feeling guilty about those.
2. I refuse to back slide (yo yo). When I have (and will) eat a little too much, I dont beat myself up and use that as an excuse to throw the whole day/week- I get right back on track and push thru.

I would suggest you too find the caloric range and stay within its limits, and exercise regularly. It may take longer than some of those "diets" but I'm sure your rather have lasting success, than quick success that is short lived.

How did you do that!

Hello Yarmiah!

Thanks for replying me. Wow , how did you manage to lose 15 lbs. I am switching back and forth between only 5 lbs. I am doing cardio , lots of exercises, drink plenty of water but still i am so disappointed .:ack2: I think my body now resist any change and still stay the way it is.. The most problem area i have is the area just beneath the tummy which protrude out after my pregnancies . I am doing crunches for the belly but i think this exercise only works for the upper part of the stomach not the lower most part...

I don't know how to track my calories intake . I have switched my cereal to Special K cereal .... but still in vain ..How can i track my calories intake and how do i suppose to know the food i am ingesting has certain amount of calories esp when i am taking food which does not mention the calorie intake per serving for instance 1 cup of rice or 4 tablespoons of low fat salad dressing or half of apple....

Any advice will be greatly appreciated..:leaving:
Thanks.:coolgleamA:
