Hello Everyone...

My name is Andrew, not Andruw, but I figured the funky spelling would ensure my username....:D

Anyway, I'm 18 and love to write and read (both of which are indoor activities). Well...weight has always plagued me, as I seem to have an infatuation with food. It's me first love!

So it got to the point where I was up to 230lbs, and I'm 6'2". I was VERY VERY unhappy with this weight and felt I'd never make any noticeable difference.

Well, I got a job that was about 2.5 miles away which I was forced to walk to everyday. Things changed and I, as well as others, have noticed a difference. YAY!

I'm now down to 192!

AMAZING! I was incredibly stoked and my BMI seems to be in the normal parameters when paired with my height. I now feel good about how I look and am much more confident. But I'm still seeking to shed some more lbs.

I hope to get inspired and inspire others.

Welcome Andrew, and congratz on your weight loss, its incredibly awesome!

I must ask, did you change any eating habits, or were the only changes the walking? Also, how long did the weight take to come off?

Hey DeepGreen, thanks for responding and welcoming me to the forum.

Yes, there was a change in eating habits, a HUGE change.

But it started small. I stopped going for dessert and the second helpings and slowly, very slowly, that led to much smaller portions and me consistently staying full from these smaller amounts of food. I still splurge on some things, and eat when I want.

It's nice not to feel restricted to certain foods.
