Hi there fellow weight-loss/fitness friends,

I'm new here and decided to join this site for advice and hopefully to also help others. My #1 goal right now is weight loss. I am starting to lose hope because I have a ridiculous work schedule and I think that the hours I work/sleep are preventing me from losing any weight. I'm hoping that through this site I can seek some advice on how to get thinner.

Right now I work a mix of night and day shifts. For example, yesterday I worked 11pm to 7:30am and the next day 9am-6pm. I believe that when the body doesn't get proper sleep or has its sleep schedule severely messed up, it can cause a stress levels to spike which in turn causes you to hold weight in certain areas.

Anyway, that is my quick story. Can't wait to get started here!

yes sleep is very important for your energy levels . I would try and see if you can create a better work schedule so your sleep time is the same. (workout ) i would do circuit training full body 3 days a wk with 2 days cardio on off days, try a workout dvd for cardio such as tiffany reeds endurance strike dvd pretty good i burn 500 cals a workout i know because i use a heart rate monitor. eat 5 meals a day and no more carbs after 3 each day
