Hello everyone, Im New

Hello Everyone, I've been reading a few of the threads for a couple of days now and there is some quality information on here. and a lot of people with the same thing in common "Fitness".
I've only recently got back into the healthy lifestyle, I served over 13 years in the British Army and when I left I had gained a lot of weight, its been nearly two years now and I managed to get upto 273 lbs which was a shock It just seemed to creap up on me. The time I was in I was plaqued with injuries, A lot of the physical training instructors didnt actually have a lot of knowledge in sport science and nutrition to name a few, and unfortunately I and many others suffered from a lot of injuries, in their defence a PT session was designed for many and it would of been impossible to tailor individual plans and as a soldier it was our responsiblity to keep fit. But when youre not getting the help you need to recover it was very hard. However I have now got the bug back seriously and am addicted to exercise and good food. I have now got down from 273 lbs to 230 lbs in the past 4 months and although i still have a way to go I am enjoying it so much I am starting to train in july as a personal trainer. I look forward to chatting to people on here in the future

Hi thanks for your hello's.
Once I've lost the weight I plan becoming an advanced personal trainer. I start my course in July and I am hoping to finish it within a year. I'm going for a career change, at the moment I work in IT and Telecoms but I believe I have so much more to give and want to enjoy my work. ultimately I want to work with people with severe conditions and diseases such as heart disease.
Plus starting my course inspires me to get to my target. I've got 3 months of theory in anatomy and physiology to work through before I have to be fit enough for the gym instructor module, then I will have to find a job in a gym to build up a portfolio and get some case studies. this will be a huge drop in pay initially but I'm lucky enough to be in a position to do this. Its about quality of life to me now.
