My Stats:
29 year old Male
5 ft 10 inches tall
260 lbs now ( 265 last week)

I have been trying to eat properly and exercise when possible for the last 2 weeks. So far I have lost 5 lbs or so.

So far this has been my method (thanks to some help from a friend who is a body builder for helping me with what to eat ). I have been eating ALOT of eggs. Mainly trying for high protein low carb. My meals have been as follows but not always exact cause I gotta mix it up some.

Breakfast:
Usually 3 eggs or so 4-5 half slices of turkey bacon and 1-2 slices of whole grain wheat toast.
And a GNC healty mens sport vitapak (7pills)

Snack: (when possible)
Hard boiled egg, and or some raisins

Lunch:
Lean ham/turkey sandwich on WGW bread and boiled egg or tuna sandwich on WGW bread

Snack: (when possible)
Piece of fruit like an apple, pear or small box of raisins.

Supper:
Try to eat supper around 6-7 pm and try my best not to eat after 8-9 pm. Cause I usually go to bed around 11pm.
Tuna, grilled chicken, boiled eggs with spinach, sweet potatoe. Not all this at one time but this is the type of stuff I try to eat.

So far I have kicked the sodas. I only drink water and/or water with crystal light in it. Sometimes I have 2-3 glasses of sweet tea a week made with 1.5 cups of sugar per gallon.

Doing snacks and lunch seems to be hard because my job requires me to be on the road 80% of the day so sometimes I stop by subway and grab a sandwich.

Me, my wife and my 8 year old daughter are trying to do this together. As for exercise we bought an eliptical and I dont get to hit it as much as I would like to. 15 mins has been my maximum on that thing so far.

We have no clue what our calorie intake is, we try to count cals and carbs and I try to eat high protein stuff. The GNC vitapacks have helped me not feel lethargic all day like I used to feel , I love them!

Any help or advice is greatly welcome.

just adding some more info!

sorry this has been such a long introduction. I just want to be able to loose weight and give all the variables in my life that effect this goal.

Used to eat 2 plates at supper, and over stuff myself. Not I try to eat alot less and when i feel full I make myself stop. I find that alot of the time when I let my food settle for about ten minutes after eating. I feel more full than I felt at the table. Before I just ate until I was miserable and just wanted to go lay down.

Way to take initiative in changing your life style. One thing you might want to try if your short on time is a protein shake. They make for decent meal replacements. Obviously, not as good as a balanced meal, but life isn't perfect.
