iam 27 yrs old 5"9 327 pounds and trying to lose more weight ive lose a few pounds thinking about getting excerise equipment for the house was wondering what would be best a treadmill or a excerise bike?

Weights. :)

Seriously .. people put so much time and energy into cardio (and dont' get me wrong - cardio can be good) but if you've got money to spend and a place to put them, buy a really good set of weights. I wish I'd started lifting weights earlier in my weight loss journey. I'd be a lot fitter and look a lot better than I do ... ! :)

If given the choice of those two, I would suggest you go with the exercise bike. The primary reason for this would be because it is lower impact than what the treadmill would be.

You will most likely be able to go for a longer period of time on the exercise bike without some of the knee problems that people who generally begin aerobic exercise on a treadmill sometimes have.

If you do go with the exercise bike, I would also recommend you "spin" at a faster speed rather than loading up the resistance and "mashing" the pedals. This will give you a nice base for increasing your pedal resistance down the road.

Weights will also be beneficial, however there are a variety of exercises that you would benefit from that require just bodyweight.

Sole & LifeCore

It would depend mostly on your preference. What mode do you like better?
If you are unsure it would be worth getting a day pass to a gym and do a workout using the equipment to figure out which you like best.

Sole makes really nice treadmills for home use. Their address is soletreadmills.com LifeCore (lifecorefitness.com) would be my choice for a cycle. Hopefully you have a fitness retailer in your area so you can try out what you are considering purchasing.

Buy a decent set of weights and a bike...I would recommend a real bike rather than an excersise one to minimise the boredom.

But if I had to choose between weights or a bike...its weights evertime. Simply pounding away on a bike or treadmill is not going to help you get the results you want.....highly recommend you read the stickies at the top of the page.
