Hey,
my name is Camy and I have decided to join. I live in London, am 23 years old and am doing a master's degree at the moment.
I have been sort of slightly overweight since I hit puberty, but my weight has rocketed since coming to the UK. I had played with the thought of losing weight for a while, but every time I started I would lose all interest in it in the first 2 weeks and have a slight yoyo effect.
But a few weeks ago I was diagnosed a coeliac (that means I am allergic to gluten, which is in wheat) and since I have to change my whole eating habits and all I thought I might as well try to lose weight once and for all.
I currently weigh 155 pounds and my goal weight would be around 120, so it is quite a lot. I am small and have a small frame as well, so I think that is a good weight goal.
My initial Minigoal is to be 145 pounds by the 15th of march, which is my fiance's birthday.
I am currently on a Dr. prescribed gluten free, lactose free, sugarfree diet, and I am on day 3 of it. It is difficult but not impossible and I feel so much better than I have felt in years, that I am just very motivated!
My exercise at the moment is 30 minutes of gym and 1 hour of swimming 3 days a week, plus rollerblading and/or iceskating 1 day a week.
I also a trying to change little habits, like getting the elevator and stuff like that.
For those who have made it all the way down here, thank you for reading! I will start a journal soon,
Camy
