I have read repeatedly that one loses wt better if supported so thought I'd find an online group. I really need to shed some # for my health outcomes as I have CHF, recovered to class I now; I also have had a (so-called) mini stroke and a major stoke from which I am recovering slowly but I am surely recovering. I (thankfully) had no mental deficits but have residual left weakness, improving somewhat. I read that 50% of folks having strokes before age 65 die within 5 years. I decided right away I wouldn't be pushing up daisies and over 2 years managed to lose 70#. I am surprised but gained back 66 of those #s over 1-1/2 years, now have lost 12# again the last few months. I yo-yo'ed my weight most of my adult life but am praying that, with group support, I will finally lose and maintain a weight loss once and for all.
Anyway, I'm glad (I think) to be here and hope I may help support others in their goals as well.
