My name is Ben. I decided to make some changes and begin a healthier lifestyle. I don't own a scale, but once I do I'll be sure to make a journal and some goals. I'm 6'0" and I assume I'm about 230lb, and think my goal will be about 190. I'm about to go to my first trip to the gym I recently signed up for. So if there's a scale there I'll use that as a start point.

I'm glad forums like this exist, I feel like it'll help push me to continue this.
 
Welcome aboard.

Be sure you don't live and die by what the scale tells you. Especially if you're going to be lifting weights, which I suggest. You could be gaining muscle and losing fat and if all you relied upon to measure success was the scale, you'd be upset.
