Hi, maybe someone can help a little here;
I started my weight loss 'adventure' beginning of February - no programs or looking for quick fixes - purely through change of diet & way of thinking about food & exersizing.
The problem, or maybe it isn't a problem, I don't really seem to have lost a lot of weight. I started at about 240lbs and I am down to 220-ish, more muscle, feel better and all that but it just seems that, six months on the fat is all still there. I've lost a few inches off my waist, only about 1.5" off my hips. I've done the 'before & after' photo thing too and can't see any change either. Am I just expecting too much too soon?
I'm eating around 1500-1700 calories a day, doing exersize dvd's (Beachbody type stuff) and resistance 2-3 times a week, lot's of water & multivitamins. Any thoughts? I'm off to see the doctor this week for another reason but would it be worth mentioning this too?

Anyway, i'm in this for the long haul. I just wish I hadn't gotten fat in the first place:p
See ya.

HI there BB,

I've been doing a few of the BeachBody DVDs as well on this end. (Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, and will eventually start Power 90 come July 30th.) Depending on what workout program you are doing, I know it can get a bit repetitive at most and maybe there's a possibility that your body has gotten used to that certain workout? Maybe variation will help. For instance, add a 30 min brisk walk 2-3 times in a week along with the program you're doing now? Then again, it's always good to lose weight slowly. Sorry I'm not much help, but I'm just speaking from personal experience. However, I'm wishing you the best!

PS You could also tell your doctor
the situation you're in. Maybe he/ she can be
of help.

Welcome!

Sounds like the weight is coming off a bit too slow. Are you being really good, every day? Sometimes I forget to remember things I ate! LOL! You have it right tho, slow and steady wins the race. Life skills take a while to learn. Just as you learned to eat poorly before, now you have to learn to eat healthy. You are going in the right direction, right!

Do you have public pics to show? I bet we could all see a difference. Your too close to the subject to see most likely.
