My name is Grace, I'm 28, and this time I'm going to lose the weight! I have tried various times in the past and lost some, but gained it all back. However, my new motivation is that my husband and I would like to start trying for a baby this summer--and I know that losing weight will not only help me conceive, but will make for a healthier pregnancy and baby. Right now, I am 5'9", 248 pounds. My weight has hovered in the 235-245 range for several years, but I've never crossed 250. Two years ago, through a combination of diet and exercise, I got myself down to 220, but have obviously gone back up since. My ideal weight would be 160 or so, but right now my goal is to get down to 200 by the summer. I don't have a specific diet plan--I'm just going to watch calories, watch portion sizes, and exercise at least 20 minutes a day. That's what worked before, but it was slow. Willpower is my downfall. I find that after a week or so of sticking to the routine, I'm good, but it's that first phase--starting out--that is so hard for me. So I've just joined this site, hoping to find and share some inspiration with all of you along the way!
