Hello all - need some advices!

Hi everyone!

I am a young woman, 20 years old, and a tad overweight: I weight 170 pounds for 5'7. It doesn't really show, I'm just pretty wide and a bit ''bulky'', but I do want to hit my healthy weight (about 150-155 pounds).

I realize this is not a huge weight loss, so I suppose it shouldn't be too hard. My metabolism is super fast; I keep going from 155 to 170, it's never really stable.

I started watching what I eat and exercise more. I want to have your opinion about my new routine, whether it's good or not, and if there's anything I can do to improve it (only been doing it for 2 days now).

I eat about 1300-1400 calories a day. I try and eat as healthily as possible (considering I hate pretty much all veggies, it's hard to do) but I cook more homemade meals and consider them to be somewhat reasonable. For example, I will make chicken filets with a side of rice, or salmon with some oven roasted potatoes (not the BEST I know, but I know I will end up giving up if I just start cooking stuff I don't enjoy at all).

As for exercise, I try to walk around 5000-7500 steps a day. As part of that, I do 25min of treadmill at a pace of 4miles an hour (I do about 1.6miles on the treadmill each training day, which occurs 2-3 times a week). I then do some floor exercises, mostly stretching and some crossed sit-ups.

Do you think this is sufficient to notice a difference? Any trick to KEEP IT STEADY after you reach your goal and not just go back to your old unhealthy habits?

Help a gal out. Thank you! :)
