heinz baked beanz

heinz Baked beanz...
I didnt realise how healthy a food they are!, quite delicious too.
Ive been mixing a small 125g can (cold) of them with tuna = tasty!.

Heinz baked beanz:

(per 125g can = 28p! (16cent!))

105kcal
protein: 6.8g
carb: 18.8g
fat: 0.3g
fibre: 5.3g
sodium: 0.5g

Yup! Vegetable matter means fiber and complex carbs. Beans mean vegetable matter + good amount of protein.

Most beans are this way - great addition to a diet (if you don't mind the gas) :)

A lot of that would account for the extra carbs in there. Remember, you have 3 sources for calories:

Protein = 4 cal / gram (this is usually not used for energy, so you can often discount these)

Carbs = 4 cal / gram (fiber, which is a carb, can't be absorbed by the body, so you can subtract calories from fiber)

Fat = 9 cal / gram

So with the sugar based sauce, you are getting more of those energetic carbs, but honestly, (as you can see from the label) they don't add that much in the way of unhealthy components.
