heel pain

i have recently been getting pain in the center back part of my heal in the morning its hard to walk on it after im on it a while its not that bad i got some shoe inserts for heel pain they help a little any other think you know can reduce the pain thanks

If it's on the back of the heel, it could be Achilles tendinosus. If it's on the bottom of the heel, it could be plantar fasciitis. If it doesn't go away, you might want to find a physical therapist who is good with feet, because both problems can be a challenge to treat.

There's a relatively new treatment out there that has a documented success rate of 94.5% with Achilles tendinosus and 92% with plantar fasciitis. It is called ASTYM, which is a rehabilitation program that stimulates the body's healing response. This results in remodeling/resorption of scar tissue and regeneration of degenerated tendons. This isn't some wacky treatment, but something that was developed and researched by physicans and PTs. They have studies on rat tendons that show what they are claiming actually happens. I am a PT in the sports med setting and have been doing ASTYM for over 4 years, getting great results. You can check out their website to see if there is a certified provider near you (or call them directly and ask). Good luck!

Are you fond of wearing high-heeled shoes? Maybe, try to wear flat shoes, and cottony-like shoes, you can use heal pad but if it is internal damage,go see a doctor or get an x-ray. This can help you know the reason and possoble permanent cure on your pain.

never wore high heels but thanks for asking. think i have that thing the others said put better pads in my heels and its better except first steps in the morning . i think i should poss. lower my weight and it will help. thanks

weight can also be a big factor for this and it actually happened to me before when i was overweight. anyway, it would feel better if you take pain relievers.

To the OP: if you haven't gotten around to seeing a doc or PT yet, you should at the very least get to stretching your calves, asap. On top of that, the leaning towers calf exercise can help strengthen the calf and improve stability in the foot. To perform a leaning tower, keep your feet flat on the ground, hip width apart, toes forward... lean forward with your legs and body straight, only as far as you can while keeping your heels firmly flat on the ground, and then pull yourself back to upright using your calves and feet.

I'd shy away from the inserts as well unless they've been prescribed by a podiatrist or a PT. Sometimes they can cause more harm than good.

here could be many reasons for the pain in the heels. From Plantar fascitis/heelspur to tendonitis/achillus heels, sports injury to shoes misfits and many other reasons. Considering the the pain amelioration on movement and the starting problem, I should also consider it as having its source at L4/L5 on the back. Therefore, I would suggest the medicines in this order to be checked or used :

Rhus Tox 200 one single dose.
Causticum 30 upto three doses for one day.
Ledum Pal 30 - if tendons are involved.

Beriberis Vulgaris - If bigtoe is painful, kidney is involved, urine is yellow. Pain will be relieved if entire weight of body is put on heels.

Tartaric Acid -30 upto three doses if there is loose motion along with the problem.

Allium Cepa - if the cause is shoes.

Calcarea causticum - better than causticum for left heels. Check the symptoms for use.

Colchicum - If gout of heels is doubted.

Lathyrus - If the spine is involved, heels do not touch on the ground while walking. Walks on the fore part of the feet. There could also be bursa on the sole under the toes if spine is involved.

Petroelum : Important medicine if there is general dryness of skin. Stitching pains in the heels, Heels rough with cracks and fissures. General conditions resembling the use of Petroleum jelly is applicable here.

Phytolacca dec . Cause could be traced to problems in metabolism. Aching in heels relieved by elevating the feet. Pains like electric shocks.

Pulsatilla 30 - Pans in heels like pricking ofnails. Puts the feet outside the blanket while sleeping. Coldness has a pleasing effect on the pain. Bryonia goes well with Pulsatilla here.

RANICULUS BULB : Acute pain in heels. Pulsative stitches in LEFT heel
when standing.

Silicea - pain due to sprained ankles. Tearing pain.

Please check the symptoms of the medicines and use. He will be cured.
First two medicines can be used and if no benefit is derived then try other medicines.
