As a mom of three young kids, I can relate to your struggle! Good luck with it!

What is ur diet like??? The only way to reduce inches in those areas (well, any area!) is by overall fat loss. By eating clean and doing cardio (running, elliptical, HIIT,etc.) and strength training (weights). Doing only one of these and the results are going to be slow if at all. So be careful with what u eat. U should eat 5-6 small meals per day, eating every 2-3 hrs. Make sure u have some protein and carbs at ea meal. The best thing to do is to figure out how many cals u need to lose weight and then divide that number among ur 5 or 6 meals and that will give you a guide as to how many cals u should eat at each one.

I would highly recommend a couple other things. A) going to Trainer Lynn's website - an incredible amt of information is there and she even has some excercises with pictures! They are amazing and they really work! (I"m proof of that!) B) Get some dumbbells - I personally was a bit nervous of doing the weights bc I had never done them before. I have been doing them for over 6 weeks and the transformation is incredible. My hubby sees the differences all over and so do I! C) Stick with us here on this forum - there are a lot of people on here with a wealth of info. In no time at all you will find friends and the support you will need to get through this process.

YOU CAN DO IT!!! Keep a positive attitude and work hard and you can achieve anything! (Hmmm...perhaps I should take that advice for myself! LOL)

Hey - I know ur struggle....I can relate....been there...done that....well, doing that, actually. LOL

with the elliptical, well, I hate to give you excercise advice, bc everyone is different and I am certainly no expert. Perhaps some others, like Trainer Lynn or sarahfitchick, can help you. (You may want to PM them for guidance and specific questions.)

I can tell you what I do, not that u should do all of it or even some of it. I'm just telling u what I do.

Mondats/Thursdays - HIIT TRaining on elliptical (5 min warm up, 20 mins HIIT, 5 min cooldown) - omg what a workout that is!!! SWEATY!!! lol
Tuesdays/Fridays - Run for 4.5 miles (I started at 3 miles, then just recently added another mile and half)
Wednesdays - Dance dvd (or Tae Bo)

I also incorporate weights on Mon/Wed/Fridays.

I know that when u have kids it's often hard to find the time and energy to workout. I don't know if you stay home or if you work out of the home. Sometimes I find it's easier to workout first thing before my hubby leaves for work. That way I get it done and out of the way before the kids get up. However, lately I have noticed better results when I workout after dinner. Hubby watches the kids for me while I workout and I tend to feel better the following morning.

Anyway. I'm not sure if this will help u at all. If it does, that's great. If not, again u might want to look up Lynn or Sarah.

Ditto...i think u can do it! i am in the same boat right now, and getting that weight off is a b...ch. let me tell u someone said something smart to me once though...."it takes nine months to gain all that weight and u can expect to loose in any less time!" good luck...we can do it!!!:)
