I decided to start a new journal for the new year. I have another one on here somewhere but I wasn't very successful with it, so I'd like to start fresh. I gained 12 lbs last year and am now at my highest weight of 5 years. Although my bmi is still in the normal range, my clothes no longer fit properly and I'm not comfortable at this higher weight. A lot of it is in my stomach which makes sitting down uncomfortable. I also just feel like my body isn't at it's full potential with these extra pounds.
I have a pretty realistic goal of losing 13 lbs. I'm going to make it happen through clean unprocessed eating, 60oz of water per day, and good old exercise.
My biggest vices and contributors to the gain are: over eating at work due to being bored and wanting to pass the time, binging at night after consuming too much alcohol, alcohol calories them self (lol), going all day with out eating and then pigging out in the evening, and not consuming nearly enough water. I will write in here from now on when I have a craving or am about to go on a food binge and rationalize why it's a bad idea.
I also have a bad habit of starting my healthier eating, then weighing myself constantly (multiple times per day) and giving up if I don't see immediate results. I weighed in this morning and now the scale is going in a closet until this Friday.
Yesterday I planned out my whole healthy menu for the week and stocked my fridge with the healthy items. All I have to do is stick with it and I'll be headed towards my goals. I would like to lose 2lbs per week.
Current weight- 5'4 128 lbs (BMI: 22)
Goal weight- 5'4 115 lbs (BMI: 19.7)
Goal date- February 20th
