I know that a nice set of abs is made almost completely in the kitchen with the gym (or ab exercises in general) used for toning and hardening. My question is this.
I am roughly 165lbs and around 5'8. I have skinny arms and skinny legs, however I have the "beer gut" going on and I'm getting a double chin. How would I find out how many calories I need to take in, in order to drop to around 155lbs., also, how would I figure out how many I need to also BURN while doing cardio, etc.? And, lastly but definitely not least, would eating lots of meats (grilled chicken, pork chops grilled or baked, turkey burgers, etc.) be a bad thing for wanting to slim the stomach down? I know that I need to start getting more vegetables in me along with fruits, however it's hard with the hours that I work (I'm unable to workout until roughly around 10PM and it's hard to get a good eating schedule going on). I am going to start trying to make myself eat salads as often as possible in place of the potato chips or what not (although I will admit, it will be hard and I know that I'll end up cheating some). But back to the topic. What should I be doing in all of your opinions that have gone through this and know what it really takes??? Thanks!
