Oh boy...where to start? Let's see...
I joined back in August and haven't been back since. I didn't actually work toward anything then. I guess I just wasn't ready yet. And now I'm back. And I'm definitly ready to make a change. Today I was weighed in gym class and it was probably the most embarrasing moment of my life. I weighed in at 201 pounds - the most I've ever weighed in my life.
It was embarrasing. And that embarrasment served as a wake-up call. My father is a 45 year old man who weighs 250 pounds. I'm a 17 year old girl. I shouldn't weigh nearly as much as that. I think it is time for a change.
After plenty of research, I have found that the "ideal" weight for someone my height is around 125 pounds. So that's what I'll be shooting for. I want to loose 76 pounds.
As far as goals are concerned, I'll put them into tomorrow's entry. I plan on stopping back a few times a week to update and let everyone know what's going on. I have a book to keep track of food and excersize in. This whole forum thing is new for me, but I figured it can't hurt.
Writing in this journal is certainly different. I think it will help in the long run. Even if all it does is give me a place to vent. Well, I'll be back soon.
