having difficulty

I'm having a super-dooper difficult time staying on a diet... I'm good for a few days but then I'll need to have a latte at Starbucks or I just eat whatever I have around the house. Also... I just need a diet and excercise plan that works for me and my schedule... I want to be able to sit up and not have gross fat on my stomach... That's my goal... HELP!!!

If you go overboard, you'll never stick to the plan. Gradually limiting your carb intake is a good idea...and choose "good" carbs when you do eat them. For example, basmati rice has a much lower glycemic index than white rice or even brown rice. Read up on glycemic index on the net, it will give you a better idea of what I'm talking about.

As for eating things around the house, the best is to NOT have junk around. That eliminates any urge to eat it all ;)
Also, having a latte at Starbucks once in a while won't make the difference, you have to splurge at times or you'll drive yourself nuts.

Once you develop good eating habits (as opposed to a strict carb and calorie-restricted diet) it will be easier to stick to these long term.

Good luck! :)
