Having a good week!

I have really been strugling over the past 3 weeks to keep my diet and workout on track. But I am happy to say that I had a good workout yesterday and a great workout today - and I am down 5 pounds!

Also, I was sore today which was great. That may sound strange, but it's been a while since I felt like this and I like it. Anyone else?

well, im glad to hear about your success...the week hasnt been quite as successful for me :( . ive been busy as hell with midterms, projects, and the like...been sleeping 3-4 hours a night last week or so, and my truncated workouts have been suffering...but fortunately, thats almost over so i should be back to a regular sleep schedule, and some hardcore training pretty soon.

what i've been doing for years is keeping a small calendar in my nutrition log. if i did everything i was supposed to do for the day (like eating all my meals, hitting my calories numbers, water intake, going to bed on time, lifting, so on and so forth) i put a checkmark for that day on my calendar.

if i miss something, i mark and X and what it was i didnt do. through the years, i saw patterns that needed fixing and i got them corrected.

so far this cycle i'm 14 checks and 5 X's. 74% now which isnt so great. i'm working to get this corrected. :D

I started something similar, but not so broad. I broke down every day by 15 minute increments with my schedule and agenda for the day and placed check boxes next to each item. Then at the end of the day or the next morning, I review. The result is a detailed report of my day - what worked, what didn't and some ammount of detail as to why concerning scheduling. The whole thing is a little anal but what the hell.

Hey guys... I wanted to thank you for sharing your suggestions on tracking and staying focused. My schedule has gone from hectic to ridiculous the last couple of weeks, plus the weather is starting to get dismal, so I've been having problems doing my routine. I think this is just what I needed. Thanks again.

yeah one thing ive noticed, is that even when im busy as hell, if i can get into the gym just for a little bit, i feel so much better that day, its well worth it...
