Through searching for information regarding workouts and beginning running, this site came up.
I'm a 54 mom, 20 pounds overweight and hypothryoid. Yay me - the trifecta!
I don't eat any products containing wheat or sugar 6 days a week. I do allow myself one 'cheat' day, for example a slice of pizza with a salad and a glass of wine on a Saturday night. I guess my diet would be considered the South Beach plan, with a large emphasis on raw vegetables.
I returned to a walking program about a month ago. I'm doing 4-5 miles every other day and am seeing results. I used to walk 3 miles and get the same results. Any ladies over 50 reading this and relating? Oh yeah. Anyway, I've decided that it's time to ramp it up a bit. I'm going to 6 days a week and may add some running to my routine, but I'd like to do it smart. I've already read some great suggestions here.
Your forum is great; I've learned quite a bit just reading through the threads. Looking forward to learning more from you!
Have a great day!
