Hamstring injuries

Hey All,

I'm looking for a little advise on hamstring injuries. I have a reoccurring problem with my right hammy. Actually, I think it is the tendon. I have a really tight feeling at the insertion of the hamstring and there's some pain just below my right glute. My hamstring muscle feels pretty good and strong. I play soccer so I get tight and sore the day after playing and it's taking longer to recover. It feels good when I ride my bike or move lateraly. It feels absolutely awful when I have to drive and I have along commute.

I play soccer and lift wegiths and occasionally ride my bike. I stretch pretty regularly but I can't get the flexibility back in this leg.

I do dynamic warmups before I play and static stretching when I'm done. I also use the foam roller several times a week. I've been lifting weights to strengthen my legs with exercises like the deadlift and glute ham raises. Nothing really seems to help. I like to be active and this is really slowing me down.

I really think this is tendon issue. So does anone out there have any good advise on improving strength & flexibility of this condition?

thanks for repsonding, jman. I was hoping for something a little more since some of the other threads have been full of good ideas. I've gotten some advice on other boards that I'm trying. In case anyoneelse comes across this thread and has something similar, I've been working on glute activation which is a major cause of hamstring injuries. There's a few good articles on the Mike Boyle site for hamstring dominance that I found really interesting.
