Hi everyone this is my first thread. I am a 24yo male, before I ask my question let me give you a brief about myself. At age 16 I began gaining a lot of weight and found myself at around 210 lbs at age 17-18yo at 5'8-5’9. I suffered from man boobs and it was quite embarrassing. I decided to change my life around at the beginning of my senior year of high school. I started eating healthy and exercising and lost a considerable amount of weight.
Before I left for college I weighed in at 175lbs, and still suffered from “puffy nipples” that protruded outwards. I kept working hard dieting and exercising and dropped all the way to 150 lbs by the time I was 20yo and maintained that till I was 22yo. At this time I was in my best shape, all my boob fat was gone, and my puffy nipple were also no longer visible(they were not protruding anymore).
Sadly, with the end of my college career came more stress and less time to take care of the body. By the time I was 23yo I was up to 165 lbs. And in the past year I gained another 10 more lbs and am now am at 170 lbs. Now to be fair it is not all fat that I gained, I have began lifting a lot of weights and that has also added to my weight gain. For a long time I was excercising frequently and eating very poorly so that contributed to the weight gain too. And with that my puffy nipple came back.
But this past month I have completely changed my diet again. I eat 6 small meals a day to get the metabolism going, mostly fruit and vegetable, I take my vitamins, I run 3.5 miles per day 5 days a week and lift weights 5 days a week(I also run at a good pace 8 min 30 sec miles). Recently my body has been getting better looking, I’ve lost a lot of fat in a lot areas but b/c of the weight lifting my weight has continued to maintain at 170 lbs which I’m fine with.
The problem though is that my puffy nipples are not going away, they’ve gotten smaller in the past month but they’re still there. I’m pretty sure it is Gynecomastia. And what makes me angry is that everywhere I read people say only surgery will get rid of it, but I proved before that losing weight can atleast make it non visible, when I was 150 lbs it was gone nowhere in sight. But the thing is that I don’t think I can ever get back to 150lbs and I’m not sure I want to(I looked really small).
So I guess I want to know do you guys think if I keep burning off fat and keep lifting eventually they’ll go away for me? What do you guys think? Thanks for helping!
