Where to start? My name is Joe. I'm 22, 5'9", and currently 245lbs. I've been going to the gym with a friend now for about 4 weeks. When I started out I was at 260. As far as I'm concerned I'm off to a good start. I started eating better. I don't like to refer to my eating as a diet. I call it clean eating. That's just something my old MMA trainer used to say and it stuck. I'm taking in about 2000 calories per day at the moment, trying to stay away from sodium and carbs. I'm going to the gym five days a week. I work a different muscle group everyday and do 30 minutes of cardio each day. The only days i don't do cardio are days that I do my legs.
Now, as for my goals. I have a wedding to go to on November 20th. Trying to get as close to 220 as possible by then. Don't know if it will be totally possible but would like to try. Then the sky is the limit. I'm tired of bein the fat kid! lol.
Any advice you could offer would be great. The guy I go to the gym with is a total gorilla and is more concerned with muscle mass than weight loss so his advice doesn't seen to be best for what I'm tryin to do.
