After every meal or whenever you feel a hunger pang coming on brush your teeth, this apparently makes your mouth and brain think its time to stop eating, plus you won't want to ruin your fresh breath.

I can see this working as I never eat anything until 1-2 hours after I've brushed my teeth, by which time hopefully the craving would have gone! If not, I'll just brush them again!
 
This is true. Apart from anything else, the taste is enough to put you off.

I use this at home but if I'm out I just put some chewing gum in my mouth; same minty taste, same effect. :)
 
Yea, it does work, i've done it!

Another thing I do is get some sugar free gum and a tall glass of water.
