Good news for me!

As some of you may know I struggle a lot with feelings of failure and a much too strict view of success when it comes to my weightloss. I have recently decided to ditch the scale for a few weeks, and am focusing instead on learning to like how my body looks, feels, what it can do, and on making improvements in skills and strength, not in numbers. Well, last night my gymnastics coach told my class that we are going to be competing in an adult competition on July 18. I'm so excited! I've wanted to get back into competing for a while. And now I can totally focus on improving my gymnastics skills, and reaching the goals I've sett for myself by that date, instead of focusing on weight loss. I'm also hoping that knowing that what I eat and do on non-gymnastics days is really important for my performance, will motivate me to do things right. This is so much more of a fun and exciting goal to focus on than losing those last 5 pounds.

^.^ I know what you mean. the last few pounds are so hard to loose because you're at a stage where you look good anyway and wouldnt really matter.
I think having another goal as your competition makes you more motivated and you will also naturally improve your physical shape. I'm doing the same right now except I want to learn latin dances, it'll be fun and burn calories plus keep me in shape.
Luck to you ! all the best
