Good Morning!

So, I just got cast in a weight-loss reality show and I'm under supervision of a nutritionist and a personal trainer. I cant talk about any of the specifics (big 20 pg contract-yikes!) but I need all the support I can get and I also would love to share the plan Im on (as long as it works!). Its only week one and I'm terrified. My starting weight is 280. I must lose 50 lbs in 3 months...right up until my Wedding Day! (Its a wedding themed weight loss show.)

With that said, hello everybody!

I'm not a fan of reality shows at all.. but whatever floats your boat...

What is it about your plan that terrifies you?

There's a lot of good info on this site, by way of the stickied threads that you can supplement whatever plan you're currently on... and use that info to take with you for the rest of your life...

Start yourself a diary - it's a great place to keep track of tour successes and challenges and for others to get to know you...

I agree start a diary. Also join in on challenges. I join in loads of them.

I also agree that reading all the sticky threads is a great idea. Lots of us here have lost a lot of weight without having the professional support that you have acquired. It is always worth getting advice from an additional expert - you would benefit from the experience here.

You might want to open a free account with fitday.com to track calories and nutrients. That is what we all do - either part or all of the time. That way you will have a lot of really good data to discuss with the nutritionist.

Start wearing a pedometer all day long - from when you get dressed in the morning to last thing at night. It will help you become more active all day long - by challenging you to do more. A lot of experts say that we should all try to do at least 10,000 steps a day (I now do three times that though - so dont feel limited).

Try several different forms of exercise - because if you enjoy something you will stick to it and do it more often. I found that I really liked aerobics - who could have guessed at the start of last year!

Im wondering if its Bulging Brides...hmmm

Im a huge reality tv junkie...

Anywho Good luck! you can do it! I would love LOVE to have my own personal
nutritionist and trainer...

Hehe, yes reality TV is an awful plague on our society...but I accidently got scooped up out of my sea of fatness and feel very lucky and excited! Plus its more like a documentary and not a contest or anything--think TLC "A Wedding Story" or something like that. The stickies are awesome! Thanks for the heads-up. Im on a super regimented diet and my personal trainer is a beast! Thats what im most terrified about--its 6 days into a seriously strenuous program and Im feeling depressed--not sure why. Has anyone else felt this way early in their abrupt lifestyle change?

If it's super strenuous -have a talk with the trainer... you want to be pushed and challenged but there's a limit -if it's too much you won't stick with it...

super exciting!

wow thats really awesome that ur doing that! ive always wanted to do something like that...truthfully the only reality shows i do watch are like the biggest loser and stuff like that. it gives me the motivation i need...i wish you the best of luck! ne tips you can give me id love to hear...im needing to tone tone tone right now. having a kid does some damage to your body! eesh! but she was well worth it. again good luck! ill keep an eye out for you on tv!
