Good Form for Squats and Deadlifts

Does anyone have any good links to videos showing good form for dumbbell squats and/or deadlifts? Thanks in advance for replies.

YOu should be able to Google it: Squat Video exercise.

I concurr, is there a reason for DB squats? Physical reason maybe, or something like that?

There is a reason - the wellness center I work out at doesn't have space for barbells, only dumbbells. And I don't have a barbell and related gear at home (yet). Believe me, if I had the gear, I'd be using the barbell. :)

I know there's an abundance of videos on the web, but the ones I saw looked different enough to me that I couldn't tell which form was best - that is, I'd like an educated opinion as to which one to follow.

For the Deadlift go to Tnation.com and search "Mastering the Deadlift part 2" and scroll to the bottom and you will see a video of perfect form deadlift. Haven't found a squat video yet.

Your best bet, and the fastest way to make improvement is to find people who can watch you form and critique.

There is no better way to learn. I am sure that there are people in your town who can help (or at least someone within a reasonable driving distance once a week.)

I know this does not provide immediate help. But others will be able to spot things much better than you will on your own.

I think finding good training partners and mentors are the most important step in achieving any sort of goals. A forum (or videos, or anything that is not a person) is a good place to get ideas and hear different points of view.

But you can never replace a person.

I just remembered that York Barbell is in Penn. They are bound to have a training hall of some sort.

When I was up north we did some strongman contests in PA. I think The Stable is in Scott Township.
