Good excersizes to slim down hips, thighs, and bum?

My legs have always been so stubborn, and it's been very hard to lose any of the fat on them. I'm satisfied with my top half, but my bottom half looks really awkward.

Can someone please give me some tips/excersizes/sports to do to slim down my legs and get good results?

Do spend time reading the stickied threads...

The exercise stickies will give you some good exercises to work the lower half of your body - but in reading and educating yourself you will learn that you cannot sport reduce - you lose fat where you lose fat...
 
I swear by running! I have been running for 3.5 months now [thats how long its been since I had the baby] and I def. see a difference in my lower half and believe me, my lower half got HUGE when I was pregnant. Its a lot smaller now.
 
Finding your earlier intro post - at your age Molly, you really should be focusing on nutrition... getting enough calories, getting enough sleep, and I'd also suggest spending time in some organzied sports... are there any summer leagues you can participate in?
like soccer or softball or tennis? something to get you out and moving..

I myself struggle with my lower half but I have found that cardio kickboxing is a great way to brun calories and really get a good lower body workout. Plus its tons of fun!

The bottomline still remains that no exercise in the world is going to spot reduce the fat on your legs... as mentioned by Mal already.

Losing fat happens in a predetermined genetic order.

At your age I would simply work on eating a healthy diet, which of course you would have to coordinate with your parents, and becoming more active. Do you like any sports?
