Hi,
My name is David and I have joined this forum as part of a whole weight-loss reinvention thing I am taking on. I'm not sure if starting a whole new thread to say hello is what I am meant to do (different forums, different etiquette - its hard to tell sometimes) but I am going ahead and doing it anyway.
I'm 22 years old and from England, and I graduated from University last summer. Since then I have been looking to 'break-in' to my chosen career path, although this has been far from easy. In the mean-time I have had a lot of trouble getting jobs to pay the bills and things have generally been a bit rubbish.
Whilst that all sounds rather dreadful, I must point out that I am actually fairly positive about it all - I know that if I keep working at it a job will come etc, etc. But the real problem which I am working on now is weight-loss. I have always been on the above average end of the weight scale - although it was never really an issue in my youth. At University I was (un)lucky enough to live in an area of town festooned with fast food restaurants and this, coupled with copious amounts of beer and general bad living, has left me looking and feeling a lot flabbier.
I am a lot larger than I was before University - certainly noticeably so, and this is something that I want to change. I have 'sort-of' dieted before, although my heart was never really in it. I've joined your lovely forums to see if regular communication and camaraderie will help me along.
So... Hello to all you fellow weight-losers, I look forward to forum-ing with you all!
Cheers,
David
P.S. Thank you for taking the time to read
