Going to NZ for 3 weeks, what should I do?

On July 12th I am going to New Zealand for 3 weeks in the snowy mountains for some snow boarding action.
The problem is that I can't take my weights with me as they are too heavy, so what do you think I should do to keep my arms, chest and back in shape while I am out there?

woo...thats a long time.
well i guess if your in the mountains, they wont have a gym. bummer. if you absolutely have no equipment, heres what i think you can do.

chest/triceps:
pushups/1 hand pushups/pushups with a heavy backpack/pushups with someone on your back/clap pushups...you get it

back/biceps:
if you can find a horizontal tree branch, pump out some pullups and or chinups. just look around for any horizontal bar you can do those on

legs:
snowboarding i hear is pretty hard on the legs already. but still, i think you should try some one legged squats, you can do lunges while holding heavy stuff in your hands. maybe you can deadlift some suitcases...jk. you can do some sprints for legs.

shoulders:
handstand pushups or you can find some stuff to military press. like...i dunno a suitcase or something with phonebooks in them ><

i say do some of these things and eat very clean and enough. your diet will be important. otherwise, i hope you have a safe, very fun and relaxing vacation my friend

Good advice Proteinboy,

I am going on holiday on 3rd July just for a week.

If they don't have a gym I will have to be doing this sort of stuff.

No heres what you should do! I live in New Zealand so there First of all you shoud leave the south island especially if you are in queenstown and go to ruapehu. When your there ski up a storm and they have a gym up there Im pretty sure. Then you should drive to mahia and catch some sick aframs (waves).

Then you should go find a Maori and get them to teach you the "haka" Search it on youtube if you dont know what it is. Or look at this link I have kinly provided

Then eat a hangi AAAAAAAAAAAANd whatever you want to do. I could rave all day.

Seriously. It's three weeks, and it won't be like you're going to be in a coma.

If you're worried about training, then just train so hard that you almost make yourself sick, and then take three weeks off.

3 weeks is along time, no training for that can have some effects. One week on the other hand aint that much

After 3 weeks detraining kicks inn for real, thats if you keep a good diet, and on vacation, average joe seldom has a good diet.

As long as he's staying active (snowboarding), it shouldn't be a huge deal, especially if he's at the beginner stage of training.

As far as size and strength goes, he'll be fine as long his diet is OK. You're likely to see drops in your cardio vascular system but just stay active, not much else ya can do really.

yeah, i was on vacation for 4 weeks.. just one more week than that. i lost quite a bit of strenght.

most of it will probobly be the CNS anyways, which can be quite qucikly brought back.

Have you tried elastic bands? I hear they're pretty good, obviously very portable too. Just wrap it around something and you can do pretty much everything you could do in the gym, but in a different way.

Get two or wrap it around twice for more resistance... just do some research, I plan on buying myself...eventually. Good luck and have fun in NZ

PS, while searching for a pic I found this... damn that's gotta be rough:
