Going ALL the Way This Time!

I have been on here on and off for a few years.
At the most I had lost 24 pounds and was only 16 pounds away from my goal, unfortunately I fell off track and gained back a fair amount. When I started back up last week I was only 8 pounds below my original starting weight.
I am a 23 yr old, female, 5'4 inches tall.
I am a competitive horseback rider (I ride 5-6 days a week) and I own my own grooming shop.

My Goals:
Starting weight is: 168 (Original Starting Weight)
Current Weight is: 155.8 (as of Sept 24)
Mini Goal is: 150 by Oct 22
Final Goal is: 128 (40 pounds down from my original weight)

Right now I have mostly cut calories (1600 a day) as I find that easier than getting my lazy butt up to exercise but I am hoping to add in more exercise.

I weight in once a week. (Friday Mornings)
 
Doing well today.
Here is a basic breakdown of a regular day for me (I know I need more fruits and veggies, still trying to work on incorporating them)

Breakfast: Cheese Bagel w butter 300 calories
Lunch: Turkey and Cheese Pita Sandwich 360 calories
Supper: Noodles and Alfredo 340 calories Sausages 255 calories
Snack: Rice Thins 80 Calories Four Cheese Crab Dip 110 Calories
Half or all of a gatorade 75 or 150 calories

I try to eat under 1600 calories.
 
We have almost the exact same stats, MysticRealm. My Christmas goal is also 128 - only 6 lbs more to go and thankfully I live in Japan so there won't be the Thanksgiving dinner setback.

That's really cool that you're a competitive horseback rider - living every little girl's dream!
 
Wow, you are really close to your goal then! good job! Japan? That's sweet. I think that would be a really interesting place to visit!

Today I have been really good, in fact a little too good. I still have 500 calories left to eat and it's 8pm!! I, without paying attention, ate a little less at lunch and a little less at supper than usual and now have 500 calories left.mmm what o what should I eat!!
 
I had an extremely difficult time trying to find something to eat as I just didn't feel that hungry. Everything I looked at in my house was like ... no don't feel like eating that...no don't feel like eating that either. Finally I decided on some tostito chips. I could have 40 chips and a gatorade and still be something like 80 calories under my limit.

Today I am still doing well. Still have a few more calories left to use. Weigh in is tomorrow.
 
A little disappointed with my weigh in this morning. I only lost one pounds, but I think that's b/c my lost from last week was so much.

Still doing well. Yesterday night was the first time I have cheated a little bit. I don't even know if I actually went over my calorie limit as I had left myself about 400 calories so I could go out with friends. I had a few small pieces of bread and nibbled on some nacho chips.
 
Today I was having a regular good day. Then I had to go to my parents' place to dog sit. My brother was suppose to let me know when he was leaving but he failed to tell me so when I phoned him the dogs had been alone for 5 hours so I couldn't make myself my regular supper I had to rush over to my parents place. Unfortunately my parents didn't have any real food in the house that was going to work for me and I still had 700 calories left in the day. I ended up having some junk food. I feel so gross and terrible about it. I probably went about 300 calories over my limit! But I will get right back on track tomorrow.
 
I got myself back on track fairly well. I may have gone a tad over though because I just could not stop drinking my gatorade!! I was only planning to have half, which would have left me with about 50 calories left under my limit but I ended up drinking the other half so I was probably about 25 calories over my limit.

I am unfortunately going away for the weekend. It will be fun but it will also mean lots of eating out which is obviously hard on a diet!

Gonna be a tough weekend this week b/c we will be out of town for 4 days, so lots of eating out. I really will need to get my butt in gear to make my goal!! I actually thought it would be super easy to make it but my weightloss has been slow.
 
Hey how's it going? did you make your goal for Oct.22nd?? I was enjoying reading your diary as I am around the same weight and I liked how you started writing down your meals! Don't stay away for long - you had a great start!
 
So I fell off the wagon again and I am SO mad at myself. Not only did I not lose but I gained back nearly ALL the weight back to my very original starting weight which was 168, I am now at about 162! I can't even fit into any of the jeans I bought this year! I am just so frustrated with myself. My brother on the other hand has recently lost over 40 pounds and is looking the best he has ever looked! So jealous!
So I am back on here to try again. It will be very hard over the holidays. We are going to visit family for a week where it will be all big family dinners and lots of goodies but I can't be this way anymore! So I will really have to fight temptation and get with it!

Glad to see you're back :) And look at it this way...you got a leg up over the whole new years resolution crowd by starting before Christmas, lol.
 
Hey Mystic Realm don't give up!

You can do it.
Everyone goes off the wagon. Usually more than once.
This is a tough time of year.
You can get thru the holidays by strategy.
Write everything down you eat, EVERY DAY. Don't ever miss.
Even if no one sees it but you.
You could even share it on this forum if you like.
It helps your awareness and you will start to avoid unconscious eating.
I did this for a whole year and it sure kept me in line.

Next Eat some non-carb foods before going to your next christmas party.
I eat things like apples and p nut butter, or raw nuts. Carrots, cheese...
If you go there full, it's easier to avoid the sugar.

I did ok today.

Breakfast: Half a cheese bagel w/ butter (I normally would have eaten the whole thing but work has been really crazy so I didn't have time)
Lunch: Turkey Pita Sandwich, Orange
Supper: Sweet and Sour Sausage and Potatoes, Ice tea.
I wish I wouldn't have had the ice tea but that's gonna be the hardest thing for me to give up. I LOVE ice tea!!

I didn't do any exercise today as I spent the evening with my parents. I may not get time to do anything tomorrow either (LONG days at work with the christmas rush, I do burn more calories though as it's a relatively active job and I spend the whole day on my feet, lifting and moving about, then I have a riding lesson on my horse, which is also exercise I suppose), but hopefully I can run at the gym in my condo or something on wednesday.
