Goal = 301lbs to 145lbs

Hello,

Thanks for sharing your photographs, I hated photographs of myself in the past because of my weight. What you did is great, my photographs inspired and motivated me to lose the weight.

I think once a week is good, I use to take photographs every 2 weeks. Keep it up :)
 
Good luck!! You can do it for sure! I wish I had enough courage to post pics of myself on here, but not yet lol, but good on you for doing it!! Cant wait to see how you do!

My advice is to just get on with your exercise and whatever eating plan you have, and then see how you feel about posting photos again in one month. You might be excited to do it...or you might decide to wait. You don't have to commit right now to that.

The only thing you have to commit to right now is real change!

I didn't post any photos until I was 14 lbs from goal and had already lost 63 lbs. But I had taken some photos after 49 lbs were gone, so I had those photos to post at the same time. I found it pretty satisfying to post several pictures at one time that showed a steady progression.
But everyone is different, and you might like to show pics more often.

You can do it! You have a long way to go, just be patient and don't lose focus and you will achieve your goal. Once a month is good for updates in my opinion.
 
You're a brave soul, I probably wouldn't do it but like you said, it's for motivation and keeping yourself accountable. Hope to see progress in a month!

Keep on truckin' girl! We're all in this together, I'm in the same boat. Should be taking my pictures tonight and possibly post them in my daily diary. :ack2:
 
When posting those pictures starts to feel like even a little bit of a mistake, imagine how proud you'll be to have posted them when you start to lose, and eventually when you hit your goal.

Monthly pics sounds about right. And if you don't post we'll keep bumping this thread to shame you :)

I think you'll look very good at 145. You're still young.
 
I'm with the others on taking photos monthly. I think it's a good idea whether you decide to post them or not. I took pictures monthly, but was too chicken to post them until I had lost around 30 lbs I think. I now have all of my monthly pictures in an album on here and I'm glad I did it now. I get such a great sense of accomplishment when I look back at them.

You will too! Good for you having the courage to post now at the start of your journey. We'll be watching and cheering you on as you continue on your say and meet all your goals!
 
You are my hero ! I am 227 lbs and I am too chicken to post pictures of myself. But you rock, girl ! I just started a new way of living on January 10th (just a week ago) and I decided to weigh myself once a month (I don´t wanna turn hyper obsessive).
I see big things in you and I can see you are really motivated in doing this (such as I am). Remember .. if you ever feel down, I am always here to put you back on track!

yes i agree you are incredibly brave and its humbling to see how much humanity you have in that you can share pictures which i would struggle to do at the start of my weight loss journey added to which im 51 lol but I cant stay 21 forever :(

Thank you all so much for the kind words of support. Trust me it was extremely hard for me to post these pictures, but in my head I knew that I needed to. It's something I need to keep looking at to remind myself why I am working so hard, to remind myself of just how unhealthy I am right now, and (above all) to keep my motivation up. I NEVER want to look like this again, and I won't! Plus, having these pictures here with my daily diary entries keeps me accountable and honest, most importantly with myself.

I can do this, and so can all of you!! Having your support and encouragement definitely helps keep me going, and puts a smile on my face. :grouphug:
