Ok, a new start for the new year, hopefully I'll be able to stick to it this year. I think writing these down in a public forum will keep me accountable.

SW:142 lb (1/1/07) CW: 142 lb GW: 100lb (by 9/1/07)

My short term goal is to lose 5 lb monthly. (smaller steps to keep myself motivated)

Also I've sort of set up some rules for myself to follow:

1) No eating after 9p.m. (3 hrs before my bedtime)
2) Eat breakfast and my regular meals & healthy snacks every 3 hrs
3) Cut down on pop (max 2 cans per week)
4) No more dessert
5) Cut down on carbs.
6) Drink more water & green tea
7) Eat my vitamin and drink milk in the morning
8) Walk from subway to work in the morning (15 min walk) and vice versa after work
9) Take 30 min walk during lunch time
10) Go to line dance class 4 times a week, or do 1/2 hr cardio when there is no line dance class. 1/2 weights every day.

I'm feeling so bad.

Last night when I went on the scale, I'm up 1 lb. :( , and then last night instead of doing my 45 min exercise, I only did 15 min and then was watching hockey with bf. It's so hard to stick to my plan when I'm around bf.

This morning is the "fattening friday" at office, I control myself from eating/tasting everying, but still I ate 2 pcs of cake .... Oh what should I do, I don't want to be left out in anything, but at the same time I don't want to be fat ....

Hi Glass,
You'll find a groove that works for you :)

You're here and making the effort, little successes build more success. You can make this happen!

It's just one day (one meal) at a time!

And don't weigh yourself in the evening! Due to food and beverage intake, you can put on a lot throughout the day that's gone the next morning! I once put on 6 pounds between morning and suppertime. Stick to first thing in the morning, it's the most accurate, I think.

And good luck...baby steps.

Oh... ... I didn't know that, I always go on scale at night before dinner ... hmm... I'll do that in the morning from now on  (my weight may actually be less then :D )

Another disaster weekend.... I went out shopping with friend on Sat. and Sun. and have lunches at chinese restaurants :( the only good thing I can say is that I only ate half of the dish (rather than the whole thing), and I tried to order something with lots of veggie in it.

Also dance lessons finally resumed, so 2 hrs of exercise, 4 days a week, that should at least keep me from gaining (not sure about loosing ... )

Also bought the Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone DVD, so that I have something to follow to do at home.

I found that I can stick with my diet during weekdays when I go to work (I can prepare my lunch, also I drink all the water), it's just weekends that it gets tough, especially when I'm around bf. (he's a typical meat eater and drinks a lot of pop).

Hopefully if I lose some weight, he will realize that he'd need to do that as well .....

Hi!! Hey you are making progress. Focus on what you have done right and extending that a bit. You'll get there!! :)

So far for the last two days I've been good. I drank lots of water, and had cherry tomatoes & almond as snack. I also ate breakfast, have salad for lunch and small portion of carb & protein for dinner.

The only problem is that I just can't exercise at home, usually feeling too tired after work. Good thing that dance class started, and once I get there, I force myself to keep moving (and I love dancing too), so that's 4 days per week and 2 hrs each .... plus my lunch time 1/2 hr walk, I think that's not too bad.

I think I need to add some wight training to my schedule ... hmmm... need to figure out something to do about that ...

Weight training is a great routine to add to your workouts :) The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn to support them. I'm just getting back into my weights, hopefully soon I won't have giganta-arms, lol.
Have a great day!

Can't believe it's Friday already. I've been quite good this week, didn't drink any pop since last Sunday (even on the night out with bf). Also it's quite busy at work for the year end, so no time to think about snack :). I'll go to Walmart on Sat. to get some 5 lb. and 10 lb. weights so that I can start building some muscle.

Haven't weighted myself yet (hate to weight everyday and seeing the 1 lb up and 1 lb down, that get me frustrated). I will weight myself tomorrow morning, hopefully the number will go down (more than 1 lb.) .....

Pinkdolly is right. Weighing once a week really helps smooth out the emotions that go with weighing. Congratulations on your week. :)

Yeah!! I've gone down 2 lb .... and that was Sat. night too ... so the actual if weight in the morning may even be lower

This weekend was actually not too bad, even though didn't exercise much (due to OT at office), but didn't eat much either.

Went to the wedding show on Sunday, and the wedding gowns looked so great on the skinny models, I want to be like that too by the end of the year (wedding is next year)... (maybe not skinny, but at least not as fat as now :p )

Weighting in once a week is actually better for me, I feel more encourage that I'm on the right track, at the same time I'm not letting myself to relax and have a feast (unlike what I usually did when I weight everyday) ... or I guess my mentality finally has changed to realize that weight loss is a life style change, not a one time look good thing .... I just need to work harder to get the exercise routine into my daily life.

OMG, last week was a hectic at work with so much to do that I don't have any mood/energy to exercise after work. But I didn't eat much either. Only very little change in the weight ... need to work harder this week....

Great to hear you're still doing well with your food. :)

It can be hard to fit the exercise in at times. I try to at least get in a quick walk if it's at all possible - just to keep myself feeling good and keep up the right habit. :) Have a good rest-of-the-week! I hope you get some time off this weekend. :)

Hi Felici,

Thanks for dropping by. :)

I tried to walk for 30 min during lunch, but it's so cold out there I just don't feel like going out :p, but I do keep going to dance class, so at least some exercise.

I hope the summer will come soon so that I can walk more ....

Hi you...Im just jumping in, thanx so much for beign a part of the Exercise Challenege...I love walking tooand I could for a few months due to our wonderful weather but now we can walk agian and it is great...I forgot how theraputic it can be...Anyway Im gonna start droppin in regularly and checkin up on ya...

Hi glass. Good to see you are still pushing forward to your goals. I reckon any kind of exercise that we can enjoy, and be sure of getting often is what we need. Dance class sounds good. I love to dance but am not skilled at all! :)

Oh, I tell ya, I would be hard pressed to get out and walk in really cold temps...Knowing me that is ;)

Good for you for finding something fun and that you can do regardless of the temperature!
