Girly dumbbells

Hi all.

My girlfriend recently quit smoking and has been "clean" for nearly 3 months. In that time, she has "picked up a few" which is apparently a common problem for quitters. Feeling a bit guilty of how well I keep myself in shape, she's decided to tackle a training regime of cahdio, light weight strengthening and Pilahtes (sorry, she's an Antipodean, so for the purposes of making this post intelligible to her, I have to pronounce "ah" incorrectly as in, "Kiwis AH just second-rate Aussies").

She's trying to find out what a good set of dumbbell weights would be for her to do back and ahm strengthening, but is too lazy to find out for herself (not a good sign) so that's why I'm here. She just wants to tone and strengthen. Ladies, if you have any suggestions, she's all eyes. :)
