Getting sore too fast

I was at a fitness class yesterday with a friend. Soon into the routine, my muscles started to get sore and I had to take frequent breaks. My friend, on the other hand, only started to feel sore after the class. By then, my soreness had gone. Why does that happen to me? Is there anything I can do to delay being sore?
 
it would help if you mentioned what sort of exercise you were doing, what was sore, and what sort of exercise experience you and your friend have.
 
is it fatigue doreness or injury soreness?...if fatigue soreness than u need to work on your strength endurance starting with low reps and increasing them gradually while maintianing the same wt...if injury soreness get checked out...for the classes, try and space it out...there's no use trying to do thwe hole cvlass when u no u can't so space out into 2min intervals i.e. work 2, rest 2 or something and gradually increade work and decrease rest untill doing the whole class continually
 
More info would definitely help. Injury pain is never good. But soreness as in "Gosh, I haven't worked out in a while" could be from a host of things... including not working out in a while :p

Since you're getting sore during class... I wonder if you're not stretched out or warmed up enough. But that's just a guess since I don't know specifics.
