Getting my life back

Hello everyone my name is Gary. On Friday September 13th I stepped on my scale and I said to myself this is the first day of getting my life back. All through school I was never over weight. Matter of fact when I graduated high school I was 5' 10' 150lbs. I was actually underweight for my size. When I got married 20 years ago I was 185 which was a perfect weight for me. Now 20 years later I've hit my biggest yet 298 lbs. I refuse to ever hit 300 so I told myself its on. Time to get my life back. My goal is to drop 98 lbs and get down to 200. My first week I walked 38 miles and lost 5.2 lbs. I'm on my second week now. I have the map my walk and my fitness pal apps and I could use some friends to keep me motivated.

Slow and steady. Get out and do that walk every day no matter what your mind is telling you. "I'm too tired." "It's too cold." "I'll do it tomorrow." "Today is not my day." Don't listen to any of that. Don't let your own doubt ever stand in your way of succeeding. On top of that, never let anyone tell you that you can't reach your goal of 200. People laugh, people judge. They do that because THEY cannot handle such an incredible challenge that you are willing to take on. When people judged me for my size when I decided to workout and pick up playing basketball, I just quoted Muhammad Ali. "I'M GONNA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM!"

If you stick to healthy conscious eating and consistent exercise, you will reach your goal. When you do you will be prouder of yourself than you've ever been before and "all the chumps will bow."

Best of luck, sir.
