get pain/cramp doing sit-ups..help

When I try to do any type of stomach exercise I get what I call a cramp/pain. It only happens on my right side and the only way I can explain it is that it feels like a rib is going either over or under the other one which in turn causes me to not be able to do the exercises. If I put pressure on that area it don't do it though but I can tell it's trying to. Has this happened to anyone or can you tell me what it could be caused from PLEASE???
 
I used to have the same problem until I found the reason to why it happened. I'm not an expert so I might be wrong but it works with me.

Did you do any stretching before doing your sit-ups or any other exercise?. If you don't, then that will be the reason as to why you have those cramps.

It is like running before stretching your legs. Another reason might be that you're over doing it. You might need to give it a rest a little. Have a break between days or so.
 
Hey,

Is that happening at the end of the movement? Is your thigh pushing one rib under the other? You might try doing crunches rather than situps.
