Gain Weight & Get rid of the Buddha Belly

Hello,

I've just started working out for almost a month now. I've been doing some digging in this site and apparently, I haven't read any articles about this topic. Unless there is please point me to that threat. (sorry for being a noob). Anyways, I just want to ask if it is possible to gain weight and muscle at the same time get rid of those loose fats I have down below? To my understanding, when you want to lose fats, you need to do more cardio and have a low-carb diet. But if you do more cardio, then you'd be burning more calories than you eat. Hence, you're gonna shrink and not be able to grow. So to me, it seems like... "there can only be one". Either you concentrate losing the belly now by going on diet and then build muscle later or vice versa. Sorry, but am I even making sense? hehehe

Need your expert advise.

You're partially right, but not really.

When you gain muscle and start working out, your metabolic rate will increase. Therein it will ultimately become somewhat easier to lose fat.

The problems with newbies in this field is that they're all very vain and selfish. They want it all, want both, gain muscle and burn fat. My advice to you, pick one. It's easier for you in the long run.

^^I agree and disagree...followed by a thought

If you go through a cardio routine before you do some weight training and are eating a proper diet with proper amounts of protein and nutrients wouldn't it work out to where your doing both? Obviously by doing one of them, you'll lose weight faster, because you won't be building muscles, you'll just be losing the fat, and vise versa.....just a thought....
