hello all,

been a member for a few weeks now since starting my weight loss adventure, and thought this post would be appropriate (spelling?).
Im 23 and always been a little over weight, but since becoming a tradesman i started to live on fast food breakfast lunch and dinner. Now its time to reverse the 5 years of that routine!
I cant belive how many like minded people are on here, so many! Hopefully that will provide the motivation i need.

i dont exactly have an exact plan to stick to. All i know is for the last 4 weeks ive had subway for lunch every workday (know the people their by first name now! lol!) and cut out the 2 odd litres of coke every day, replaced that with water. Thrown in 30 minutes of walking/5minute jog 5 times a week and its working a treat already!

anyway enough babbling!
glad to be on the site and look forward to learning information from you all!

Wow Steve, you're doing a great job! Replacing the soda with water is the best idea, who needs to drink all those calories? Well yeah, its nice to have soda but I've never been able to as I prefer to eat other yummy foods in place of those wasted calories. Other drink options are using 1 part fruit juice to 3 parts seltzer water or regular water, and of course tea with or without milk. I drink tons of green tea all day long and you end up getting addicted to it (been doing this since around 1993 ha ha). Well glad you joined :).
 
Welcome to the forums! It's a great place for support. It sounds as though you've made some smart decisions so far. What are you doing for breakfast and dinner, though? Lunch is only 1/3 of the meal puzzle to figure out.

Welcome! Like others have said, getting rid of those empty calories from soda is a great start. I'm a firm believer in being able to chew the calories I'm consuming.....unless they are alcohol. :reddevil:

ive had weet bix for break fast for the last 20 years & wont be changing that habbit anytime soon! LOL.
im also moving out with a few mates next week, one of whom is a chef & will be able to sort my dinners out for me!
so hopefully ive got the eating right part covered. thanks mate.
