I'm worried...
I used to weigh 263 pounds and jiggled everywhere. One day someone called me fat and it hurt bad. So I started working out and eating right.
I'm now at 228. I have muscles and I'm proud of what I see in the mirror...except...
My abs don't look like other abs that I see in the magazines that I started buying. Other abs run straight out from the center. Mine are slanted downward and looked stretched. I'm 6 ft 1 inch, so these abs are making me look taller (which I didn't want). It seems like my abs are following the slant of my ribcage.
Is this normal in the beginning? Is there something that I can do to make them run straight across instead of slanted downward?
I had surgery when I was 18 and always wondered why the doctor cut me at a downward slant across my stomach. I've never had abs before...but now that I do I can see why he cut there - because it's right in between the abs.
