full body workout

I'm guessing this is wrong to do? I'm new to gym and am not playing with very heavy weights right now. But would doing a full body-rest-full body-rest do good? Untill I increase the weights much more working more spesifically? Or should I directly go to working partly.....if thats the case, which muscle group should work in one day, and which ones shouldn't?
 
Full Body work outs are great. This way you are hitting all of your muscles 2-3 times a week instead of just once. If I remember correctly your goal was to gain size? If that's the case- I would personally mix it up every 3-4 weeks. 3 weeks of FB then 3 weeks of split workouts. The more you surprise your muscles with something new - they won't adapt as quickly which is how they grow.
