Full Body Dumbbell Workout

How is this for a full body workout, is it good? Yay or Nay?

Incline Chest: Fly 15 reps
Arnold Press: 15 reps
Upright Row: 15 reps
Dumbbell Squats: 15 reps
Bicep Curl: 15 reps
Tricep Kick Backs: 15 reps
Abdominal Curls with dumbbell: 15 reps

Rest for 1-2 mins

Incline Chest: Fly 12 reps
Arnold Press: 12 reps
Upright Row: 12 reps
Dumbbell Squats: 12 reps
Bicep Curl: 12 reps
Tricep Kick Backs: 12 reps
Abdominal Curls with dumbbell: 12 reps

The dumbbell used weighs 15lbs (two 5lb discs and two 2.5lb discs). People have told me to use heavier weights, but I tried a 20lb weight and I struggled to do any more than 8 bicep curls.

Someone even told me that a 28lb weight (the max I can use with the equipment I have) is too light. Well yeah, if you are a pro bodybuilder of course it is too light. But I am only a newbie to weight training and I cannot do anymore than 4 reps with that weight before it hurts (and I mean hurt, not burn).

Anyway, sorry about that little rant there, I'd just like to ask if this workout would be good if I did it 3 times a week, with say 30 mins of cardio on a stationary bike on the rest days.

Most fullbody workouts mainly consist of compound exercises. The Arnold Press and Dumbbell Squats are okay by me. I think Dumbbell Bench Press, Dumbbell Rows, Dumbbell lunges, Iron cross, Dumbbell Deadlifts are exercises that should be put in your workout routine.

For people who don't know what the Iron cross is:Bodybuilding.com - Exercise Guides Database.

What do you have for equipment? You may need to buy some more( by more, I mean like weights) if you don't have much.

I agree with SKMMAN. However, if you're weight training only for fitness then I wouldn't be too concerned about getting more equipment or weight. If you are looking to get bigger, than you'll likely need more weight.

If the weight you have is all you're going to use, make the most of it. Do the maximum reps you can with the weight you have, superset for added blood flow to the muscles, and incorporate explosive core training moves (Mountain climbers, squat thrusts etc).

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not really interested in adding much size, I just want to look fitter and more toned.

I know the only way to do that is to lose fat, and I heard that doing cycles of exercises rather than sets will act as a cardio workout as well, and burn fat quicker.

(I know I need to have a good diet to burn fat, I eat mostly things like tuna, chicken, yoghurt and fruit. I also drink a lot of water.)

Thanks for the new exercise suggestions, I'll try a few of them.

Any suggestions on what I could do on the rest days?
