Frustrated...

I am trying to cut fat and tone.. at the moment I train MMA 2 times a week( Monday Wednesday 1.5 hours), karate 2 times a week (Monday Wednesday 1 hr) and gym (includes cardio) twice a week (Tuesday Thursday1 hr). I cant seem to burn that little fat layer around the bottom of my stomach (love handles and lower ab) and I cant seem to tone up my arms and legs..I am strong but not defined... I NEED HELP..

All of my workouts are in the evening starting at 6 so I eat just about every 2/3 hours so I have dinner before I go to my workouts...by the time I get home IM STARVING and its 9:00 or later...what should I eat? I dont want to eat something and have it turn to fat...

I drink a lot of water..and not a lot of fatty junk food but not really sure how many calories I should be intaking and what not I currently do not take any supplements except for a multivitamin...I have protein powder but not really sure how it should be taken so I never end up taking it!

I am female.. 5'1'' and 117 pounds... any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Also any info on supplements that might help would be great too thank you!

It sounds like you have an excellent workout base and you should start to see results over time. To tone your arms and legs you should be lifting weights. As a female, you won't get bulky by lifting weights so don't worry about that piece. Post what you do at the gym so we can evaluate.

Generally speaking there are no magic bullets so stay away from supplements except for the multi-vitamin. Protein powder is only necessary if you aren't getting enough protein in your diet. You might try a protein shake made with skim milk after your workouts for recovery.

My guess is your diet isn't as great as you think it is. I know you said you don't eat much 'junk food'...but you'd be surprised at how much garbage is actually out there that people are duped into thinking is 'ok' or even 'nutritious'.

I also agree that lifting some weights a little more often (but within reason) would be beneficial. Without testosterone, you won't be able to put on a lot of muscle mass, so you won't get all masculine looking...my point being don't fear lifting weights 3x a week. Lift heavy, lift HARD. Again, without testicles you won't turn into a she-hulk!
