Hi. Can someone help me out with this problems I'm facing?

I had this crazy fad diet of eating only 600-800 cal a day a few months ago for like 2 months. Then I got into a binge mode ate up to 2000 calories a day. Put on back half of what I lost and then I started dropping calories to 1200 buy realized I was still not losing weight

Right now it's been about 2months now eating about 800-1000 calories and I'm still now losing any weight. Even If I've screwed up my metabolism I can't possibly be burning less than like a 1300 right? How come I m not losing any weight??

First of all, radically cutting calories is dangerous to your health. Your body needs at least 1200/day to function correctly and that is probably more like 1800/day for most people at the very least. Secondly, you need to think of dieting as a lifestyle change. Do not focus on calories right now; simply choose better choices...raw veggies, whole grains, fruits, less meat, etc. Those things will make your body work more efficiently and you will not be depriving yourself, which is why you went on the binge. Also do not restrict yourself from treats. Just get a small reasonable portion and DO NOT feel guilty about it. Exercise to lose weight, which is moderate to intense activity 60 -90 min a day 5x a week. If you make these changes, then you will see a change in your body and your mood. Eating healthy makes you literally feel better, more refreshed, more energy, etc. It really does help. Make healthy choices in your food intake, and exercise patterns and you will make a change that will last and keep you fit for years as long as you stick with it.

The reason you aren't losing weight is because your body went into starvation mode and hung onto those extra calories, that is why cutting calories is so risky. If you eat healthier choices, then it automatically fills you up with less calories and you do not have to count calories. Your body has no idea how many calories it needs because you starved it for 2 weeks and then overfed for 2 weeks. That is what will always happen, thus the fad diets never work. DIETS never work. A lifestyle change is the only thing that will work. A healthy weight loss of 1-2 lbs a week is what you should expect for healthy weight loss...and you will plateau, but then switch up your workout to use new muscles and you will jumpstart the weight loss again.

Your metabolism did what it's supposed to do. stop you from starving to death when food became scarce.

Increase your calories by 50-100 each week until you reach 1800 minimum. the slow increase should give your body time to adjust. get your calories up to 2000 then incorporate calorie cycling (1800-2200 a day averaging out to 2000 over a week).

adding weight training could help break your stalled weight loss too.
