Frustrated!!!

Hi everyone, I am a new member to this site. I started my journey September 1st and have lost only 30lbs so far. Which means that I am only losing 10lbs per month? I eat healthy (under 1,200 calories per day), lift weights 3 day a week, and cardio exercise 5 days a week. I am a bit frustrated that I am losing weight so slow. Any advice or some type of motivation would be helpful!!

Thanks,

Um .. you've lost 30 lbs in 3 months and you're frustrated?

I think you need a massive readjustment of expectations. 10 lbs a month is FANTASTIC progress. It's a great, healthy, and sustainable amount of weight to lose.

Anything faster than that would be pretty unhealthy and unsustainable.

It hasn't even been 3 whole months and you've lost 30lbs. How is that not fast enough? I would perhaps be frustrated if you weigh over 400lbs. and were only losing 10lbs. per month ... you realize that if you keep up at this rate that you will lose 120lbs by next September, right?

The suggested rate for weight loss is something like 1-2% per week if I'm remembering what someone else said correctly ...

I appreciate your encouragement and support. It is so easy to get frustrated when I think about having to lose 60 more pounds to get to my goal weight. But your right, I should be happy that I have lost 30lbs already. Once I have reached my goal weight I will post my before and after pictures! Thanks!
