frustrated cross country runner

I have been running cross country for four years. I have a decent bf % at 12. I have a decent diet, and run 4-5 miles a day. I also swim competitively every year. yet I've always had a problem with making my midsection less fat. I work my core and try so hard but never any change I don't know if I'm the most unlucky person on the planet or I'm doing something wrong.

I posted a pic for easier understanding

Judging by your picture, your physical shape looks just fine. 12% is not bad at all. However, most cross country runners are around 7-9%.
Perhaps you need to run harder on those runs. Get out of your comfort zone and jack your heart rate up.

Don't think you'll drop fat by eating less. Keep eating healthily, with more pasta (not ramen noodles) and greens.

If your in cross country I assume you do 5ks, correct? If so, what are your splits and PR? If its at a competitive pace, you needn't worry about your fat % anyway. That just means your body is simply different.
